The Grand Maket of Russia is one of the newest and the most popular museums in St Petersburg. It is a 800 m2 model that represents typical features of different regions of the country. One would expect to see miniature models of the most beautiful buildings of Russia, but here the author was trying to create a sort of collective image of the country.
The Grand Maket of Russia is executed in great details – you can see hundreds of nail-size figures of people that are occupied with different duties from road construction to careless sunbathing. Visitors can even rent a binoculars to fully appreciate the details. The maket is especially interesting for children – they will be entertained with changes of night and day and moving trains and cars.

The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00. Ticket price is 450 rub per adult. Is’s also possible to rent an audioguide in English
