3 day “Summer” tour
I highly recommend this 3 day tour for those who are coming to St Petersburg from May to the beginning of October when the fountains in Peterhof are functioning. You will visit all the “must-see” places of St Petersburg, will discover some off the beaten track sights and will get an idea of everyday life after a metro ride. If you are interested, a visit to a local market can be included.
What will you see and experience during the tour?
- The splendid interiors & art collection of the Winter palace and the Hermitage museum
- A visit to the Savior on the Spilled blood church – the most famous & colourful church in St Petersburg
- A walk along the Nevsky prospect – the vibrant and elegant main street
- Amazing interiors of St Isaac’s cathedral that can rival St Peter’s cathedral in Vatican
- A tour of Peterhof fountain park where you will see dozens of totally different fountains and happy visitors playing with the “trick” fountains
- A visit to the Catherine palace that with leave you speachless when you see all this guilding, grandeur and variety of interiors (and the Amber room, of course) followed by a soothing walk in its gardens afterwards (this palace is always very busy).
- A metro ride to see the most special stations that are often nicknamed “underground palaces” or “palaces for common people”

The tour offers some flexibility, but not total. The reason is that we must book tickets to the Hermitage museum and the Catherine palace in advance and we even get a specific time of entry, so we can’t reschedule the tours of these places at the last moment. However, other sights are more flexible.
