Russian donuts are called pyshki. (well, their taste is different from donuts though). They are cheap and loved by everyone. There is a cafe that serves pyshki in St Petersburg that has been around since 1960-s! It’s situated on Bolshaya K
onyushennaya street, 25 in the very center of the city. They still use soviet time recipes and old machine for pyshkas-making. This place is so famous that it was prohibited to open anything else (modern cafe, boutique, etc) on that place. Visit it when you come to St Petersburg to feel atmosphere of soviet time.
