Buying whatever you want is not a problem in St Petersburg even if you don’t want to go far from the Nevsky prospect (the main street of the city). If you are interested in souvenirs you can buy them at a souvenir market next to the Savior on the Spilled blood church or in one of the many shops along the Nevsky prospect, but if you are looking for clothes, accessories and jewelry you need to go to one of the big shopping centers like Gostiny Dvor, Passage, Galleria or Stockmann.
Galeria (Gallery shopping center)

Location: Ligovsky prospekt, 30. (Ploshad Vosstaniya metro station)
Galeria is the largest and the most popular shopping center in St Petersburg that is also very conveniently located in the center of the city next to the Moscow train station. This huge shopping center opened in 2010 contains about 290 shops so you can hardly leave it without a single purchase. Clothes, juwelry, cosmetics, shoes, food – you can find plenty of that in Galleria. Zara, Uniqlo, Armani, Calvin Klein, DKNY, H&M, Guess, Gant, Timberland, Tom Tailor, Tommy Hilfiger, Furla, Michael Kors and lots of other brands.
Gostiniy dvor
Location: Nevsky prospekt, 35. Gostinny dvor metro station
Gostiniy dvor is the oldest shopping center in St Petersburg dating back to the end of the 18th century. You can find there everything from souvenirs to shoes, clothes, jewelry and interior decoration. Nevertheless, Gostiniy Dvor is not as popular among the citizens of St Petersburg as it used to be, but you can check it because there are lots of souvenirs ans juwelry shops on the first floor (in the section along the Nevsky prospect).
Stockmann
Opening hours: 10:00 – 23:00
Location: Nevsky prospekt 114-116
A 6-storey Stockmann is situated in the corner of the Nevsky prospekt and Vosstaniya square (in fact, it’s a short walk from Galeria mall). There you can buy clothes, shoes, accessories, cosmetics or food . In fact, the mall is rather similar to Galeria, but not as big. In my opinion, a big advantage of Stockmann is a huge grocery store that you can find at the basement.
Besides shopping centers, there are lots of mono brand shops like Zara, H&M, Benetton or Bosco Sports along the Nevsky avenue.
