Catherine’s palace is like a time capsule that brought me back to the imperial Russia time where elaborate parties were held.  It’s like the movie Mid-night in Paris where i felt i travelled back in time.  I enjoyed it a lot.  Everything was so glamourous.  In particular, i was in complete fixation with the Amber Room depicting our 5 senses: smell, taste, touch, sound and sight.  The architecture of the palace was magnificent and full of history.I like Alexander palace as well.  I learned a lot of history from both palaces and their importance in Russian history.  The marble bridge, turkish bath and Chinese garden were all interesting to me.  I really enjoyed the tour!!

” We have just returned from a fantastic tour of 5 days to Russia, where we visited Moscow and St.Petersburg. While I had been to Moscow before,so was able to guide my family a bit,we were totally unprepared for St.Petersburg. Well if we had any apphensions on how we could see St.Petersburg,Alisa’s prior planning helped us to cover a lot of places within the short time. A local of St.Petersburg with an astounding knowledge of the city,the rich history of the city,Russian Imperial rule, palaces,parks- she took us back on a time machine during the city’s golden period and left us wanting to visit the city once again and with some more time to spend. Not only her charges are reasonable,she understands that Russia is an expensive place and gives lots of good tips on how not to overspend,is very patient and understanding and it is her motto to have her clients leave with a good and everlasting impression of her city.
